Michel is a Toronto Lighting Cameraman / Director of Photography / Advanced licensed Drone operator. His late father Jean Bisson started him off shooting at the young age of sixteen. Michel landed a contract with CBC Sports at nineteen in Montreal then with CBC French in Toronto. Wanting to grow more in the industry he went freelance and never looked back.

Michel is bilingual in English and French. He has shot all over the world. His experiences range from shooting Toyota cars in Japan studios to snorkeling with beluga whales in Churchill, Manitoba Hudson Bay.

Michel has been shooting for over thirty years. He has worked with just about every major network in North America. He has also worked on countless corporate projects, commercials, documentaries, and sports. Michel also DP’s Movies and Indie movies.

I started with 16mm & 35mm Film cameras with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). I then moved on to shooting with video cameras. I own several cameras, from the Aaton LTR 16mm film to the latest Sony FX9 and FX3 cameras. I also have the newest Nanlite, Nanlux LED, and RGB lighting and grip equipment. Additionally, I have Steadicam with Gimbal, Jib’s, Sliders, and Sound equipment.

Michel is always in tune with the latest technologies. His clients have the confidence that he can shoot and DP. He can also operate every piece of equipment he owns.

Michel wants the shoot to go as professionally as possible. He also wants it to proceed smoothly. Michel has a history of always trying to give the best quality possible to his clients.

His Father told him when he started “That you are only as good as your last SHOOT.” Michel has been living by that rule ever since.
